Greater Birmingham Humane Society

We provide vaccinations and preventative care, including core vaccines, as part of our outreach initiatives to prevent illness and promote the health of pets in need. These are available through our Pet Assistance Request form to eligible pet owners.

We include pet identification & microchipping as part of our Pet Owner Support Programs to ensure your pet can be safely returned should they get lost. Our outreach services provide this critical lifesaving tool for free or at low cost through funding assistance programs.

We offer behavioral/training assistance to help address challenges that may lead to pet surrender. Our trained outreach team provides guidance on modifying behaviors and improving the human-animal bond to support families in retaining their pets. Services are coordinated via the Pet Assistance Request form.

We provide Medical grooming for severely matted pets and overgrown nails as part of our Pet Owner Support Programs. This includes basic care to address health complications caused by poor grooming, helping pets remain healthy in the home.
