County of Santa Barbara Animal Services

Santa Barbara County Animal Services provides sheltering and enforcement services to Santa Maria, Lompoc, Solvang, Buellton, Guadalupe, Goleta, The Chumash Tribe of Santa Ynez Valley, and unincorporated parts of Santa Barbara County. We provide shelter services only to the city of Santa Barbara.

We offer a range of services including animal adoptions, animal licensing, lost & found assistance, and support for pet owners. See our website for details on adoption procedures and available animals.

Our mission is to ensure the health safety and welfare of the animals and people we serve through proactive intervention, effective enforcement, collaboration, education, and the compassionate care and rehoming of sheltered animals. We are committed to fostering a safe environment for all animals in our community.
