The Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe is dedicated to saving and improving the lives of pets through compassion, generosity & ingenuity. We serve the communities of Truckee, CA and South Lake Tahoe.

We offer a wide range of services including community spay/neuter programs, pet food assistance via our Pet Pantry, lost pet support, and resources for rehoming or surrendering pets.

HSTT is committed to providing comprehensive care for animals in need.

Services Offered

Wellness & Preventive Care

Core Vaccinations (Rabies, Distemper, Parvo)

Available

We provide core vaccinations for rabies distemper and parvo to keep your pets healthy and protected. These are required for participation in our spay/neuter program.

Microchipping & Registration

Available

We provide free microchips to residents of the Town of Truckee. Microchipping is your pet’s best chance of being returned home should it ever become lost and is a critical means of reuniting during an emergency.

Surgery

Spay & Neuter Surgery

Available

We provide community spay/neuter services for owned pets in specific counties. Priority is placed on the highest need pets and small financial grants are offered to additional applicants for use at your regular veterinarian.
