Animals In Distress is a non-profit, no-kill cat shelter dedicated to the care and placement of homeless cats and kittens in Wilton, CT. We are committed to providing a loving environment for felines year-round.

We offer comprehensive care including FIV/feline leukemia testing, rabies vaccinations, and spaying/neutering procedures. Our mission is to rescue and place stray or abandoned cats in forever homes.

Animals In Distress is staffed solely by volunteers who provide daily care and attention to our residents. We strongly advocate spaying or neutering to help reduce pet overpopulation.

We encourage you to consider adopting a shelter animal! Please visit our adoption info page for details on procedures and to view our current adoptable cats.
