Macon County Animal Control and Care Center

The Macon County Animal Control and Care Center is a municipal facility under the direct supervision of the Macon County Sheriff's Office, located in Decatur, IL. The center is dedicated to finding loving homes for adoptable animals.

We are committed to enforcing animal abuse laws and providing care for animals within our community. Key services include animal intake, adoption programs, and investigations into cruelty/neglect cases.

As the only "open admissions" facility in Macon County, we never turn away an animal regardless of health or temperament. We are Fear-Free Certified to ensure a positive experience for every pet.
