Whiteside County Health Department

Whiteside County Health Department (WCHD), established in 1966, is a full-service comprehensive agency located in Rock Falls, IL.

WCHD delivers traditional public health services like environmental health and immunizations, as well as primary and preventative medical, behavioral health, dental, oral surgery, and optometry services through a federally funded community health center. They also oversee the county’s Animal Control Department.

The Whiteside County Community Health Clinic (WCCHC) provides services on a sliding fee scale and accepts Children's Health Insurance Programs, Medicaid, Medicare, and third-party insurance payments. WCHD is Fear-Free Certified.

WCHD has three primary locations in Rock Falls and Sterling, IL, including a Mobile Unit equipped for school and sports physicals. Funding comes from grants, fees, and Whiteside County taxes.
