Black Hawk Animal Control provides animal control services for rural Black Hawk County, responding to calls regarding abandoned, sick or injured animals. Their primary service area is Waterloo, IA.

An Animal Control Officer is on call between the hours of 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday and can be reached at 319-232-6887. They also partner with other city animal control services.

If you have an animal emergency after 5:00 p.m. or on weekend days, please contact the Black Hawk County Sheriff’s department at 319-291-2515 for assistance.
