James L. "Bo" Bryant Animal Shelter and West Feliciana Animal Humane Society (WFAHS), Pet Rescue

James L. "Bo" Bryant Animal Shelter and West Feliciana Animal Humane Society (WFAHS) is an animal shelter located in Bains, LA, dedicated to providing a safe haven for animals in need.

Founded in August 2012 thanks to the generosity of James “Bo” Bryant, we’ve transformed from operating with limited holding kennels to running a full-time animal shelter. We offer services focused on animal care and finding loving adoptive homes.

We are proud to have increased our save rate from less than 10% to over 95% of the parish's stray population per year! WFAHS participates in events like Empty the Shelters, offering reduced adoption fees.

Our mission is to provide a safe, healthy, and caring environment for animals as we search for their original owners or a loving adoptive home. Visit our website at WWW.WFAHS.ORG to view adoptable pets and complete an application online.
