Animal Shelter of Martha's Vineyard

As part of our Annual Rabies Clinic (held in April), we provide Core Vaccinations (Rabies, Distemper, Parvo) for Island residents, ensuring pets are protected and compliant with local regulations.

We provide Flea & Tick Prevention treatments for all animals during their stay at the shelter to safeguard their well-being and prevent infestations.

We include Microchipping & Registration for all surrendered animals to ensure they can be safely returned to their owners if lost or to their new families if adopted.

We administer Parasite Deworming (Intestinal) treatments as part of our comprehensive medical intake to eliminate internal parasites and promote pet health.

We conduct Behavioral Counseling assessments for all surrendered animals to evaluate temperament and safety for adoption. Dogs also receive training support during their stay.

We perform Spay & Neuter Surgery for all animals during their stay to control the pet population and improve their long-term health and well-being.

While not an emergency facility, we assist in Emergency Stabilization cases by directing pet owners to appropriate resources or providing initial guidance when urgent care is needed.

We offer Nail Trimming & Dremeling services through our Nail Clinics, held for dogs (fee applies). This helps maintain their paw health and comfort.
