We provide a wide range of medical and surgical services for ill and injured animals but our model of care is focused on providing each animal with the full benefits of preventative medicine delivered at an affordable cost to their owners. During your pet's regular wellness exam, your veterinarian will examine the heart and lungs, check the teeth and oral cavity, assess eyes and ears, palpate the lymph nodes abdomen and skin, and palpate the joints and muscles.

We recommend a series of vaccines during your kitten or puppy's first year of life in order to develop a strong immune response against disease. We take these measures so that we can provide your pet with the best protection from disease as well as to reduce the possibility of an adverse reaction to a vaccine.

Additionally pets in their senior years also require a few extra steps to ensure they remain healthy and active for a long time to come. We like to tailor preventative measures to the age and stage of your pet's life.

We highly recommend all dogs receive rabies, distemper, hepatitis, parvo, and parainfluenza vaccines. For cats we highly recommend rabies, FVRCP, and FELV.

We recommend that all dogs be tested annually for heartworm. We also recommend that your pet receive preventative medication for heartworm since they are prevalent in our area of the country.

Since heartworm, fleas and ticks are prevalent in our area of the country, we recommend that your pet receive preventative medication for these pests. We sell a variety of preventatives and would be happy to help you determine which is best for your companion.

Lost pet microchip IDs are a safe, simple, and effective way to help prevent your pet from becoming permanently lost. The microchip is about the size of a grain of rice and is implanted beneath your pet's skin.

Regular fecal checks and deworming are the best way to prevent parasitic disease and the transmission of intestinal parasites from pets to people. We normally associate parasites such as roundworms, tapeworms, and hookworms with cats and dogs.

Not only can a full chemistry panel and complete blood count identify the presence of underlying disease processes but these tests help create a baseline should your pet become ill between routine examinations.
