Sierra County Animal Shelter

Sierra County Animal Rescue Society (SCARS) is a group of concerned citizens looking out for the welfare of companion animals in Sierra County, New Mexico.

To date, SCARS has sponsored spay/neuter and rabies vaccinations for 218 dogs and 359 cats in 2023. They also provide financial assistance with urgently needed veterinary care.

SCARS is a Fear-Free Certified organization dedicated to reducing stress and anxiety for animals.
