We provide full nose-to-tail physical exams of your pet's hair, skin, eyes, ears, nose, face, mouth and teeth, breathing stimuli response and more. We’ll update your pet’s microchip if needed and make sure recommended vaccines and booster shots are up to date.

We recommend an exam twice yearly for senior pets. We count most pets as “seniors” after the age of 7.

Vaccines are essential for preventive care and can increase the chances of a longer happier life for pets. The two core vaccines that are recommended for dogs are the rabies vaccine and distemper parvovirus vaccine.

Another key component of helping to maintain your pet’s health and happiness is having them on reliable consistent heartworm preventative. Heartworms are spread by mosquito bites and can grow up to a foot long living in the heart and lungs of our beloved pets.

Fleas can cause itchy skin skin infections and spread tapeworms. Ticks can carry disease such as Lyme Disease Ehrlichiosis and more.

We may also suggest routine yearly blood work fecal sample urinalysis or other diagnostic testing to screen for any potential health issues.

We recommend annual comprehensive blood and urine tests for all middle–aged and older pets. These can check internal organ function blood counts hormone levels and test for underlying health conditions.

Unless you intend to breed we recommend having pets spayed or neutered. Pets that have been spayed or neutered tend to live longer and have healthier lives.

Depending on the surgery we typically administer additional pain medication prior to discharge as needed. Pain-relief medication of the appropriate type and duration will be sent home with you along with detailed instructions for when and how to give them to your pet.
