Transylvania County Animal Services

Transylvania County Animal Services is responsible for the control of dangerous dogs, rabies operation of the animal shelter, and protection of animals from illegal treatment in Brevard, NC.

The department collects lost and straying animals, provides a central location to find lost pets, facilitates pet adoptions, and offers opportunities for volunteers. They also work with vocational services and rescues.

Animal Services provides basic animal control including investigations of animal nuisances and dangerous dogs, as well as protection from abuse and neglect.

They offer low-cost rabies vaccinations, pet adoption services, and a lost & found pet list. Adoption fees are $90 for cats and $100 for dogs.
