Burke County Animal Services

Burke County Animal Services is the county-operated and tax-funded animal center serving Morganton, North Carolina. On August 5th, we became a dedicated department under the County Manager.

Our primary goal is to reunite lost animals with their families. For those unable to return home, we strive to place adoptable pets in loving homes or transfer them to reputable rescue organizations.

We accept owner surrenders on a space-available basis and may require appointments for intake depending on capacity.
