Blue Mountain Humane Society, established in 1967, is a nonprofit animal shelter located in Walla Walla, WA committed to the humane treatment of animals.

We offer comprehensive services including adoption, spay/neuter programs for income-qualified pet owners, and preventative care. Our mission encompasses finding loving homes for abandoned, abused, and homeless animals.

Wellness & Preventive Care

Comprehensive Physical Exam

Available

We offer comprehensive physical exams to ensure your pet is healthy and happy. Our preventative care clinic focuses on preventative care only such as vaccines microchips and parasite control to keep your pets healthy.

Core Vaccinations (Rabies, Distemper, Parvo)

Available

We offer vaccinations as part of our preventative care clinic to help keep your pet healthy. Rabies vaccination is required by Washington State law for pets over 12 weeks.

Flea & Tick Prevention

Available

We offer flea and tick prevention services as part of our preventative care clinic to help keep your pet healthy and happy. We can administer Selamectin which lasts for 1 month.

Microchipping & Registration

Available

We provide microchipping services and registration as part of our preventative care clinic to help reunite lost pets with their owners. All animals come spayed/neutered with a microchip and registration.

Parasite Deworming (Intestinal)

Available

We offer parasite deworming as part of our preventative care clinic to help keep your pet healthy and happy. Pyrantel is used to treat internal parasites excluding tapeworms.

Surgery

Spay & Neuter Surgery

Available

We offer spay/neuter services to help income-qualified pet owners provide essential care for their pets. All appointments must be scheduled online and a deposit is required at the time of booking.

Urgent & Critical Care

Emergency Stabilization

Available

We offer emergency stabilization services. In an emergency contact the foster coordinator immediately.

Pain Management

Available

We offer pain management as part of our spay/neuter services. Includes sedation and anesthesia.

Grooming & Hygiene

Nail Trimming & Dremeling

Available

We offer nail trimming as part of our preventative care clinic to help keep your pet healthy and happy.
