Multnomah County Animal Services

We provide spay and neuter services for shelter animals and offer financial assistance through programs like the Oregon Humane Society Spay & Save Program. Our services also support community partnerships to promote spay/neuter events and vouchers for pets adopted from the shelter. These efforts aim to reduce pet overpopulation and improve public health.

We handle wound and laceration repairs for animals in distress, particularly during emergency responses (e.g., injured strays, victims of abuse, or animals rescued from hazardous situations). Our field services team provides immediate medical attention to stabilize pets before further care.

We respond to life-threatening emergencies involving animals, including injuries, aggressive animal incidents, and pets in distress (e.g., trapped in hot vehicles or under attack). Our team provides immediate stabilization and intervention during business hours (8 am–5 pm). For after-hours emergencies, we coordinate with 911 and local law enforcement to ensure rapid assistance.
