Dorchester Paws

Dorchester Paws is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of animals in Summerville, SC. As the only open-admission shelter in Dorchester County, they serve multiple towns.

They provide food, shelter, and medical care for lost, abandoned, and abused animals, working tirelessly to reduce pet overpopulation and champion responsible pet ownership.

Dorchester Paws is proud to be part of the “No Kill South Carolina Coalition” with a 93% live release rate. They have not euthanized for time, space or money since .

With support from the community, Dorchester Paws continues to expand their efforts to provide compassionate care and make a lasting positive impact on animals in need.
