The Animal Advocates

The Animal Advocates is a non-profit organization serving the animals of Barnwell County, SC. We are dedicated to making a difference in the lives of homeless, abused, neglected, and abandoned animals.

We provide care and shelter for cats and dogs rescued from the Barnwell County Animal Shelter, offering them medical attention and finding loving permanent homes. Our programs include fostering (Friends for Life Foster Center), a thrift shop (Pick of the Litter Shoppe), and spay/neuter assistance.

The Animal Advocates is proud to have been recognized nationally by Animal Planet’s My Cat from Hell show, featuring our inspirational MeowMate/Muttmate program.
