Heartland Humane Society, Pet Adoption

Heartland Humane Society (HHS) is a limited-admissions animal shelter located in Yankton, SD, committed to providing compassionate care and responsible placement for pets in need.

We encourage adoptions by appointment, though walk-ins are welcome. Many animals reside in foster care, so advance arrangements may be needed for meet-and-greets.

At the heart of our mission is a dedication to animal welfare and creating lasting bonds between pets and people through adoption, foster care, and outreach programs.

Thank you for choosing animal rescue! View available pets on our website or contact us today to learn more about giving a loving home to an animal in need.
