We perform thorough annual (or biannual for seniors) Comprehensive Physical Exams for all species, evaluating weight, coat, organ function, and early signs of disease. This is the foundation of preventive care and works synergistically with bloodwork and vaccination assessments.

We provide annual Heartworm Testing for dogs and cats (critical, as heartworm preventatives are dangerous in positive cases). Our prevention programs include year-round heartworm medication (e.g., monthly chews) to protect pets from this mosquito-borne parasitic disease, which can cause irreversible heart and lung damage.

Given Texas’s year-round flea/tick threat, we strongly recommend customized Flea & Tick Prevention—including topical treatments, oral medications, and injectables. We evaluate the best options for your pet, from monthly products to long-acting solutions (up to 3 months) to ensure comprehensive protection against infestation and disease transmission.

We provide personalized Nutritional Counseling for all species, including equine diet management, parasite control (deworming schedules), and weight management to prevent obesity-related diseases. Collaboration with pet owners ensures tailored dietary plans for optimal health, especially for animals with metabolic needs.

For equine patients, we develop targeted deworming schedules based on fecal testing to manage parasites (e.g., strongyles, roundworms). Intestinal parasite control is also included in small animal preventive plans, with deworming recommendations based on species and health status.

We offer in-house bloodwork, including Complete Blood Counts (CBC) and chemistry panels, to assess your pet’s overall health, diagnose infections, liver/kidney diseases, and monitor chronic conditions like diabetes or heart disease.
