Rita B. Huff Adoption Center

Welcome to the Rita B. Huff Humane Society, serving Walker County since its founding! We believe every animal deserves a second chance.

We provide shelter care and medical attention to homeless and abandoned animals. Our services include adoption programs, spaying/neutering initiatives, and community education about responsible pet ownership.

Each year, hundreds of animals come through our doors, each with a unique story. We rely on the generosity of our community as we receive no government funding.

Come meet your new best friend! Our shelter is open Monday-Friday 12pm – 5pm and Saturdays from 12pm – 4pm at Veteran’s Memorial Parkway, Huntsville TX.
