Louisa County Animal Shelter operates under guidelines of the Commonwealth of Virginia providing humane sheltering care, adoption, and redemption of stray and surrendered animals. We are located in Mineral, VA.

We strive to eliminate pet overpopulation by encouraging spay/neuter programs and increase public awareness through educating citizens on responsible pet ownership.

The Louisa County Animal Shelter is a proud adoption partner of Pets for Patriots, pairing veterans with shelter pets.

We work to reduce the overall number of animals housed at the shelter through adoptions and fostering. Visit us Tues-Sat from 12-5pm!
